
Miroslav Ivanov
Miroslav Ivanov is the lead editor of the specialized tourist news site TravelNews.bg. He started his career at the Continent newspaper as a reporter in 1998 in the Tourism and Agriculture departments. He was then responsible for the same sectors on the economic radio show "Portfolio" on "Darik Radio" since its launch in 1999. He worked for the "Dnevnik" newspaper since its inception in 2001. In 2007 he was one of the creators of the "Events" department in "Economedia" AD (the group of "Capital" and "Dnevnik"), which organizes business conferences.
In 2009 he started working in "Public Relations". He became a media advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov. Later he held the same position with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Science Meglena Kuneva and under the first caretaker government of Rumen Radev in 2017 with the Minister of Tourism Prof. Stella Baltova and the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium Businesses.
After 10 years in the PR field, he returned to journalism in 2020 with the creation of TravelNews.bg. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Media Management from the University of National and World Economy and a Master's degree in Tourism Management from the International Higher School of Business. He has specialized in the United States Department of Agriculture, Michigan State University and Cornell University, USA.
Miroslav's favorite travel destinations are the United States, Spain, Italy, France and Thailand. His passion for travel makes his work a real pleasure. "I'm definitely a critical tourist and journalist!" he said.
